 Do you have a favorite color? Do you have a 2nd or 3rd favorite? The colors we choose in our artwork can be very important. Some colors like red, blue, and yellow are primary colors. Other colors like purple, orange, and black, are combinations of primary colors. If we can combine red and blue to make purple, can we separate them again?

We are going to explore this phenomenon with color markers and paper chromatography. Are all same color markers actually the same color? How many other colors are hiding in that marker? Let's find out!
