August 21, 2023 Questions & Answers

  1. QUESTION: Is there a need to formally register our interest in the project? The solicitation states that changes to it will be made by written addendum, which will “be issued to all prospective proposers.” We want to be certain we receive all addenda that you may issue.  ANSWER: Answers to questions will be posted on Jefferson County Library District website and it is proposers responsibility to check back for any updates.
  2. QUESTION: Has previous work been performed that helped to determine the stated need for 12,000 square feet of expansion space? For example, did the JCLD work with a consultant to develop a functional program? If so, is a copy of the program available for review?  ANSWER: JCLD is providing the attached 2020 programming assessment for prospective proposers information.  This document is provided as informational only.
  3. QUESTION: Would it be possible for someone from our team to visit the Library and meet with the staff prior to submitting our response?  ANSWER: There is no scheduled pre-proposal meeting. You are welcome to quietly visit the library however there is no need to visit with staff at this time.
  4. QUESTION: The solicitation references “market volatility appendix information,” but it appears no such appendix accompanies the RFP. Does the term “appendix” refer to the portion of the proposer’s submission dedicated to innovative ideas, cost reduction strategies, and market volatility, and not to a document associated with the RFP? Or should “appendix” have read as “index?” ANSWER:  The term appendix is referring to the portion of the proposer’s submission dedicated to innovative ideas, cost reduction strategies, and market volatility.
  5. QUESTION: We presume the deadline for questions listed in the RFP (“August 2nd, 2023”) is erroneous.  ANSWER:  Deadline for questions is August 30th 2023.
